STEP 1 - DIAGNOSIS - Where are You now?


In order to start making progress with your marketing you need to find out what's wrong with your marketing NOW. You need to identify the real marketing issues, challenges and obstacles that are holding you back and prevening you from achieving the results you want. You need to know why your marketing isn't working and what you can do about it. You're probably having to deal with the symptoms of poor or "selfish" marketing, because you haven't identified the root cause of your marketing problems. You must diagnose what's wrong with your marketing and know why its not generating the results you want before you will generate the breakthrough results you deserve. NOTE: You will not make breakthrough progress with your marketing until you identify and address whats holding you back.


STEP 2 - PROGNOSIS & OBJECTIVES - What do You Want?


Having identified the marketing issues, challenges and obstacles that are holding you back, you need to identify exactly how much they are costing you or preventing you from achieving the results you want or need. You need to set new objectives, mile stones and key performance indicators so you can get that fire in your belly, activating your desire to help drive your business forward. You need to set new goals, and objectives so you have something to aim for, and more importantly something by which to monitor your progress. NOTE: You won't make progress with your marketing until you know what it is you want.


STEP 3 - STRATEGY & TACTICS - How are You going to Achieve it


Generating results with your marketing requires action. (Very simply by applying marketing activities, skills and knowledege). You may know what you should be doing, but are you doing it correctly. Do you need to improve your marketing skills, or update your marketing knowledge? Do you know how to successfully implement all the various marketing tactics, and activities you need to be practicing to generate the results you want? Are getting thee results you want from the various marketing activities you're doing at the moment like networking, referral generation, SEO, classified advertising etc? If not, then there are very specific reasons why you're marketing activities aren't generating the response you want. NOTE: You won't make progress with your marketing until you know How you're going to achieve your objectives.


STEP 4 - MEASUREMENT & CONTROL - When will you start to see progress with your marketing?


You need to measure your progress and results with your marketing activities. You need to measure and control spend. Increase efficiency, increase return on your marketing investment. You need to measure response, signups, downloads, conversions, and there are a number of simple tools and systems available to help you with that. NOTE: You won't make progress with your marketing unless you're serious and want to achieve your new objectives
